该项目技术采用少铈稀土产品为原料，以P507-煤油溶液为萃取剂，经过一段萃取，同时得到两个纯产品和两个富集物产品，符合包头稀土矿先提铈，后萃取分离的思路。与目前普遍采用的分离工艺相比，工序简单，化工材料消耗少。与原有“三出口”工艺相比有一定的技术创新，可以在现行分离生产线上直接应用。在同等设备条件下，扩大生产产量10%。
